John Green. One of the greatest authors to ever set him pencil on a page or fingers on a keyboard. He always puts tons of detail in his work and spends time making sure everything is perfect. That is why he's won so many awards and has had so many accomplishments. He won the Printz Award for 'Looking for Alaska' and had the number one novel on the New York Times Best Seller list for 'The Fault in Our Stars'. John Green was born August 24th, 1977. He graduated from 'Kenyon College' with a double major in English and Religious studies. Besides being a writer, he also is a YouTuber. He teachers history lessons and posts them on there. He has a great sense on humor and right now is working on helping with a movie being based of his book, 'The Fault in Our Stars'. I have read the book and I'm so excited for it to come out.
As you can see in this little moment behind the scenes, he is easy going and so passionate about him book. The only book of his that i have read is 'The Fault in Our Stars', but i plan to read a lot more by him because i liked it so much. I would definitely recommend reading all or any of his books. He is such a funny and great author and i can's wait to see what he will do in the future.

ReplyDeleteI feel like when people are reading a book they never think about the author. I like how you took the time to learn about the author and relate to him. I think that this enhances the book becasue then you know that the book was heart felt and not just made up in his head.
ReplyDeleteThis author looks like a great author! I really like books with a lot of description for each situation. I feel it sets the scene of the story really well. I believe that if you research the author, you will gain more insight on how the book will be.
ReplyDeleteI feel the way you connected to the author was very unique. I have always felt connecting to the author is good for a reader, because you can understand where the book is coming from. I feel you have done a tremendous job connecting with the author and expressing the connection in a creative way. I also like the video, because as a blog reader it gives me a physical picture of the author and how they act.
ReplyDeleteI have always had a connection with John Green. I watched vlogbrothers and then when TFIOS came out, I read that and I am in the process of reading the rest of his books. I think it is easier to read his books because of the personal connection to the author.
